Our team of passionate and talented engineers is at the forefront of cloud technology, constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our expanding team in Budapest.

As a Cloud Database Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based database solutions in GCP, Azure, and AWS for our diverse clientele. Your expertise in HANA, Hadoop, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our clients’ data of our clients’ data infrastructure.

 

 What you’ll do:

 

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based database solutions using: HANA, Hadoop, Redis, Kafka, and Cassandra
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based database solutions in our portfolio.
  • Automate database provisioning and configuration using Git, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies in the organization to increase operational efficiency, scalability, agility, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
  • Build relationships with engineering colleagues and collaborate on application design.

 

What you´ll bring:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience administering high throughput, highly available, transactional database systems covering designing, installation, trouble shooting, and performance and tuning.
  • Experience with automated deployments of databases using Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible or similar.
  • Automation-related experience with at least one of: Python; Go; Ruby; Java; C; shell; Perl.
  • Experience with database operation and deployments in one of: Google Cloud Platform; Amazon AWS; and Azure. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for technology and a willingness to learn new things.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science or other technical discipline
